Gujarat scored only 28 runs in the powerplay and lost four wickets. Nat Sciver strikes twice picking the wickets of Mooney and Gardner. Meanwhile, Wolvaardt was sent out by Shabnim Ismail while Hemalatha was sent out by Hayley Matthews.
Gujarat’s fifth fall was Deandra Dottin who lost her wicket to Amelia Kerr in the 9th over. However, Harleen Deol and Kashvee Gautam tried to build a partnership to revive the side from early dismissals.
But Kashvee Gautam has been dismissed for 20 runs in 15 deliveries. Hayley Matthews picked her third wicket by dismissing Simran Shaikh for 3 runs.

Speaking at the toss, Harmanpreet Kaur said, “We gonna bowl first. First 6 overs very important bowling first and we want to utilize that advantage.”
“We played very good cricket and we were in the game till the last ball and today we are playing 2 debutnats. Parunika is playing in place of Saika IShaque. Kamilini also playing. They are very motivated and looking forward to playing with them.”
Meanwhile Ashleigh Gardner said, “We were also gonna bowl. We know it is hard to defend here.”
“In the first game we put up 200 and that is a very defendable total and if we can put up a similar score tonight, there is no reason why we can’t defend. We are playing with the same eleven.”
