With a target of 177 runs, Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul opened for LSG and went to smash fifty in the match. KL Rahul smashed fifty on 32 balls while Quinton de Kock smashed 50 on 41 deliveries. With the dismissal of de Kock for 54 runs. Nicholas Pooran joined KL Rahul to speed up the victory for the side.
KL Rahul scored 82 runs on 53 deliveries including 9 fours and 3 sixes with a strike rate of 154.72 while Nicholas Pooran smashed 23* runs in 12 deliveries.
Mustafizur Rahman and Matheesha Pathirana bagged a wicket each for CSK but the visitors suffered defeat with 8 wicket difference at Ekana Sports City, Lucknow.
