KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant made stellar knocks in the second innings of the first test of India’s tour of England 2025 to extend India’s dominance at Leeds.
Their centuries have helped the side to recover from the early wickets on day 04 at Headingley. Resuming the batting on day 04, Shubman Gill lost his wicket to Brydon Carse for 8 runs.
Pant, who walked in, joined settled batter KL Rahul and went on to trouble England bowlers. Pant went on to smash his second ton in this tour after hitting 134 runs in the first innings.
The duo went on to forge a 195-run partnership for the fourth wicket before Pant lost his wicket to Shoaib Bashir for 118 runs.
After his dismissal, Rahul continued to bat, scoring 137 runs off 247 deliveries, which included 18 fours.
However, the breakthrougn Bashir brought has made India to lose another three wickets before reaching 350-run mark.

Earlier Batting first, India posted a total of 471 after centuries from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant. Rahul made a solid stand scoring 42 runs and got dimissed before the lunch on day 01.
Josh Tongue and Ben Stokes picke four dismissals but India has already punished them with posting a mammoth total.
England responded by scoring 465 runs where Ollie Pope is the only centurion. Harry Brook lost his wicket for 99 runs and a combined batting effort has helped the hosts to reach the score.
Jasprit Bumrah picked a five wicket haul while Prasidh and Siraj picked three and two wickets respectively.
Starting their second innings, India went on to post 90 runs for two wickets by end of day 03 with the dismissal of Jaiswal and Sai Sudharsan leaving KL Rahul and Shubman Gill at crease.
