KKR vs LSG 2024 Highlights: Kolkata Knight Riders’ opening batter Philp Salt scored an unbeaten 89 runs and led his team to register an 8-wicket victory against LSG in Eden Garden.
with Philip Salt’s aggressive knock, KKR comfortably beat Lucknow Super Giants by 8 wickets and registered their 4th victory of the season.
Speaking on the game, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and opted to bowl first where Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul opened the inning for LSG. The duo made a steady start, Vaibhav Arora came in surprise and dismissed de Kock for 19 runs and registered the first wicket of the match.
Following his dismissal, Deepak Hooda and KL Rahul made some crucial shots but Starc struck and dismissed Hooda for 8 runs. After Starc took responsibility with the ball, LSG batters struggled to score and lost their wicket one after the other.
But LSG vice captain Nicholas Pooran scored 45 runs from 32 deliveries and led the team to register 161 runs for 7 wickets loss at the end of 20 overs.
On the other hand, Philip Salt and Sunil Narine opened the inning for Kolkata Knight Riders. But Mohsin Khan picked a couple of quick wickets by dismissing dangerous Sunil Narine and youngster Angkrish Raghuvanshi for 6 and 7 runs respectively.
But KKR’s opening batter Philip Salt on the other end smashed LSG’s bowler all around the ground and led the team to reach the target in 15.4 overs.
With the victory, KKR retains their second spot in the IPL 2024 Points Table while LSG slips to 5th spot in the same. Kolkata Knight Riders will play their next game of the season against Rajasthan Royals on April 16 in Eden Gardens while LSG will face CSK on April 19 in Lucknow.
