West Indies fast bowler Keemo Paul has been included in the ODI squad for the West Indies tour of Pakistan 2022.
Keemo Paul Named in West Indies ODI Squad against Pakistan
West Indies ODI team is scheduled to play 3 matches ODI series between June 8 – June 12. All three matches are scheduled to play at Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan.
Keemo Paul was roped into the West Indies squad after his notable performance in the domestic competition where he was the top wicket-taker amongst fast bowlers.
Lead selector Desmon Haynes said, “Keemo Paul has been kept out in the recent past due to injury and we view the management of his body as paramount to his success, not only when on West Indies duty but also when he is with his regional franchise.
We have watched him perform in the recent West Indies Championship Four-Day Competition for the Guyana Harpy Eagles and we think he is ready to come back into the fold.”
Keemo Paul made his international debut for the team in 2018. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for the West Indies against Afghanistan in the World Cup Qualifier on 15 March 2018.
In May 2019, Cricket West Indies (CWI) named him as one of ten reserve players in the West Indies squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. In August 2019, Cricket West Indies named him as the T20 Player of the Year.
