The English cricketer Joe Root has become the second batter to score most runs during the first test of England’s India tour 2024. He jointly stands first in the list with Ricky Ponting who has 2555 runs against India in Test cricket.

Joe Root scored 29 runs during the first innings of the side where England scored 215 runs losing 8 wickets before Break.

Ricky Ponting and Joe Roots stand top with 2555 runs while Alastair Cook stands third with 2432 runs. Clive Lloyd stands fourth with 2344 runs while Javed Miandad stands in fifth position of the list with 2228 runs.
