Indian batter Jemimah Rodrigues with her impressive century in the second ODI of the Ireland Womens tour of India 2025 sealed a series victory for India. In the three-match ODI series, India already won the first match and took the lead. The visitors are in need of winning the second ODI in order to stay alive in the series.
With a victory in the second ODI, India Women sealed the series victory. Speaking of the match, India won the toss and opted to bat first while Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal opened the inning. The duo laid a strong foundation by adding 156 runs for the first wicket.
While the opening pair looked threatening, Orla Prendergast broke the partnership by dismissing the Indian captain for 73 runs in the last ball of the 19th over. In the very next ball from Georgina Dempsey, Pratika Rawal lost her wicket while scoring 67 runs.
Though India lost back-to-back wickets, Harleen Deol and Jemimah Rodrigues made impressive stands by adding 183 runs for the third wicket. While Harleen Deol looks promising, Arlene Kelly dismissed Deol for 89 runs.
But Jemimah Rodrigues made a stand and scored her maiden ODI century and led the team to register 370 runs for five wickets at the end of 50 overs.

In the second innings, Ireland Women struggled to face the Indian bowling unit and lost wickets at regular intervals. At the end of 50 overs, Ireland Women managed to score 254 runs for 7 wickets at the end of 50 overs and won the game by 116 runs.
Coulter Reilly’s 80 remains the team’s highest individual score for Ireland in the chasing. With the victory, India women sealed the series victory while the last and third ODI match of the series will be played on January 15 at Rajkot.
