After an impressive all-rounder performance from Jason Holder, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots claimed their second win of the CPL 2025 during a match against Barbados Royals at St Kitts.
The win has elevated the Patriots to second position in the CPL 2025 points table, ending their losing streak.
Batting first, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots openers Lewis and Andre Fletcher, opened the innings while, Warrican opened the bowling attack.
Ramon Simmonds picked first two wickets of Lewis (9) and Rossouw (6), Warrican went on to pick the wicket of Mohammad Rizwan for 3 runs. Meanwhile, they went on to score 46 runs in the powerplay.
With Andre Fletcher’s dismissal for 25 runs, Nevis lost four wickets for 63 runs. However, knocks from Kyle Mayers (42) and Jason Holder (38) stabilised the innings.
After Navian Bidaisee’s run out, Abbas Afridi and Naseem Shah went on score 16 and 19 respectively, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots scored 174 runs in the 20 over innings.
Ramon Simmonds went on pick three wickets while Daniel Sams bagged two wickets. Warrican and Bosch went on to bag one wickets each.
In the pursuit of chasing 175 run target, Brandon King and Quinton de Kock opened the innings while Kyle Mayers opened the bowling attack.

Ashmead Nedd give the breakthrough dismissing de Kock for 15 runs, King went on to score 22 runs before being dismissed by Jason Holder.
Navian Bidaisee went on to pick the wickets of Kofi James and Sherfane Rutherford for 16 and 8 runs and despite some resistance from Roman Powell and Daniel Sams’, Barbados Royals lost the game by 12 runs as they scored only 162 runs in their 20 over innings.
Jason Holder was named as the Player of the Match. Speaking at the post match conference, “The character of the boys. Tough loss last game against Trinidad and the boys were excellent. The morale of the team has been pretty strong, young Bidaisee has been excellent.”
“Nedd coming in for the first game has been doing well. (on the crowd) Just a lot of love and they come in day in and day out to support us,” added Holder.
“We have given them stress as well, two wins at home and we are moving in the right direction. New franchise for me and getting the team over the line speaks volumes about my character as well. Hopefully we will get a win over Antigua as well,” concluded Jason Holder.
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots will play their next match against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons on Augut 24 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua.
