The Gujarat Giants pacer Titas Sadhu has been ruled out of the remainder of the WPL 2026 due to injury, with Jintimani Kalita named as her replacement.

Sadhu, who represented Delhi Capitals in seven matches over the last two seasons, joined Gujarat Giants for INR 30 lakhs during the WPL 2026 auction.

However Titas Sadhu did not feature in any of the WPL games in 2026 season. The 2025 season was disrupted by injuries as well, limiting her appearances across formats.

After playing in the home ODI series against Ireland in January last year and featuring in three WPL matches in February-March, Titas Sadhu missed the tri-series in Sri Lanka involving South Africa in April.

She also missed the white-ball tour of England in July. However Titas Sadhu returned to competitive cricket in August, earning selection across all three formats for the India A tour of Australia.

She has played for India in eight ODIs and 12 T20Is overall. Meanwhile, Jintamani Kalita has previously played for Mumbai Indians, playing a total of 13 matches across the 2023 and 2025 seasons where picked up one wicket and amassed six runs.

Gujarat Giants are tied on points with four teams but currently botton of the WPL 2026 points table. They have suffered three consecutive defeats after beginning the season with back-to-back wins.

They have three remaining league games as they push for a place in the playoffs. Gujarat Giants will play their next match against UP Warriorz on January 22 at BCA Stadium.

On the other hand, all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar was sidelined due to a hamstring injury, has recovered and joined the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Vadodara.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru are currently the table toppers and have qualified for the next round at the back of five successive wins in many games this season.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play their next match against Delhi Capitals on January 24 at BCA Stadium, Kotambi, Vadodara.
