After players of both teams and mascots marched out for the national anthems, England’s national anthem was played first. While the Aussies were preparing to sing their anthem, surprisingly India’s national anthem was played.
In fractions of seconds, the mistake was rectified and Australia’s national anthem was played.
The fourth match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has been scheduled to be played between Australia and England on 22 February at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Australia and England have played 160 ODIs so far where Australia have the upper hand with 90 wins. Australia has won the ICC Champions Trophy a couple of times while England hasn’t won a single title but has reached the final twice in 2004 and 2013.
ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Australia vs England game is also the first time that England and Australia will be playing an ODI match on Pakistani soil.
