ICC unveils New York Venue for IND-PAK clash in T20 World Cup

The ICC has revealed the venue of the India-Pakistan clash in the upcoming T20 World Cup which has a capacity of 34,000 seat capacity.

New York has been preparing to host the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 in June. As a part of the preparation, they are constructing a new modular stadium, Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. It will be the first of its kind for cricket and is expected to be completed within three months.

The stadium will be featuring 8 matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 including the high-profile clash between India and Pakistan on June 09.

The stadium will possess an array of seating options which consists of Premium and general admission, VIP, and hospitality suites. Sustainability is at the forefront of this project.

The ICC official Geoff Allardice spoke about the venue saying, “We are excited to be unveiling the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024,” said ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice.

It is an incredibly important milestone in the lead-up to the biggest ICC event ever, with work commencing on the stadium which will be able to accommodate 34,000 cricket fans.”

“We are partnering with world-class suppliers to deliver the modular stadium to ensure that players and fans can enjoy an unforgettable experience across the eight matches in New York in June this year.”

The stadium will provide a world-class experience for all guests. It will feature a dedicated fan zone, a variety of food and beverage stalls, and also a modern broadcast area.

The venue is located 30 miles east of Manhattan and has good transport and parking facilities.

Fans will have the opportunity to attend cricket festivity in New York and can see the World class players in action with 8 matches to be played in the venue.

The first match will be played between Sri Lanka and South Africa starting on June 03 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium.
