San Francisco Unicorns opener Finn Allen’s 51-ball 151 runs has helped the side to post a huge total and secure a large margin victory in the opener match of the MLC 2025 season on June 12 at Oakland Coliseum, California.

He went on to hit 19 sixes in his stellar knock, starting right from the first over. Allen struck three consecutive sixes off both Mitchell Owen and fellow kiwi Glenn Phillips, reaching 86 runs off 28 deliveries.

However, he got dismissed by Mitchell Owen in the 18th over. Meanwhile Sanjay Krishnamurthi and Hassan Khan has contributed 36 and 38 respectively to help the side to post 269 runs in 20 over innings.
In the pursuit of chasing 270 runs, Mitchell Owen and Rachin Ravindra posted a solid partnership for 80 runs. However, with the dismissal of Ravindra, their batting order began to collapse.
Haris Rauf and Hassan Khan picked three wickets each while Cami le Roux picked two wickets to upset Washington Freedom.
“Was exciting (on making the fastest hundred in MLC history), off to a good start, found the boundaries regularly, we had a few partnerships and got a good score on the board. The boundaries are fairly decent,” said the Kiwi batter after his fiery knock.
Just six months ago, Allen went unsold in the IPL auction who registered with a base price of INR 2 crore.
