England Playing 11 for 3rd Test vs India; Wood Replaces Bashir

England Cricket team have announced their playing 11 for the upcoming 3rd Test vs India scheduled to be played at Rajkot between February 15 to 19.

During the England tour of India 2024, a total of 5 tests will be played between January 25 to March 11 at 5 different venues across India. England brought their pace bowler Mark Wood for the third test in place of off-spinner Shoaib Bashir, who made his debut in Visakhapatnam.

Mark Wood played the first test of the series and went wicketless after bowling 25 overs across the two innings. Following a dreadful outing in the 1st test, he was replaced by James Anderson where the 41-year-old veteran proved his impact by bagging 5 wickets across the innings.

“If it stays like that, there’s every chance two seamers will be played. I don’t want to give away too many secrets, but at the minute there’s a bit more grass on it. It looks like a pretty good pitch”, Ollie Pope said.
