This surface, I look forward to playing. You’re not playing against the opposition, you’re playing against home support, that makes you raise your game. I’m enjoying my cricket now, just playing the role of guiding the youngsters, passing my experience to them, they’ll take the team forward.
It’s a mix of both – I’ve messed up at times when I was young, now it’s all about executing your process and try to be successful. A lot of work happens behind the scenes, couple of years ago, we had a betting problem in the Caribbean, the facilities weren’t great, but you need to have the patience to work hard.
The world isn’t coming to you, you’ve got to go for it. It’s about taking each game as it comes, we’ve 5 games coming up at home and the Independence day comes around the same time. Looking forward to getting support back at home
