Ben Dwarshuis helped Australia to Pound West Indies in the fifth T20I to secure a 5-0 sweep in the series.
Having secured a 3-0 clean sweep in the test series, the visitors continued to dominate the Australia tour of the West Indies 2025. During the final T20Is, Australia went on to successfully chase 171 runs posted by the West Indies.
After being put to bat first, the West Indies went on to lose their top order within the powerplay.
Brandon King and Shai Hope opened the innings while Aaron Hardie opened the bowling attack.
Dwarshuis went on to dismiss the openers Shai Hope (9) and Brandon King (11). With Keacy Carty’s dismissal for 1 run by Aaron Hardie, West Indies lost three wickets for 32 runs.
However, Sherfane Rutherford and Hetmyer posted a solid knocks scoring 35 and 52 runs before being dismissed by Maxwell and Dwarshuis respectively.

With Holder’s 20 runs and a little contribution from low order has put the side to post 170 runs in their 20 over innings.
With the target of 171 runs, Mitchel Marsh and Glenn Maxwell opened the innings while Jediah Blades opened the bowling attack.
After Maxwell’s dismissal for a duck by Holder, Marsh scored 14 runs before being dismissed by Joseph. Jason Holder went on for another dismissal picking Inglis’ wicket for 10 runs, Cameron Green, Tim David, Mitchell Owen and Aaron Hardie’s knock has helped the side to chase the target by the end of 17th over.
Ben Dwarshuis was named of the Player of the Match. Speaking on the post match conference, he said, “It was a slower wicket, so tried to hit the wicket hard and bowl some slower ones. Lot of thinking and planning goes into the games, to not let batters access certain areas.”
“It was a challenge on these batter friendly wickets, felt like a nice, tidy challenge. Amazing to be part of this historic squad, will look back at this series for the rest of my life. I grew up watching Mitch Johnson and Starc, they are probably my role models,” concluded Ben Dwarshuis.
