Ben Curran, who recovered from a fractured hand, and Sikandar Raza have been included in the Zimbabwe Squad for the New Zealand tests, which are set to begin next month.
However, the squad does not include Brendan Taylor, whose three-and-a-half-year ban for breaching ICC anti-corruption code ends by July 25 and was aiming to return for this series.
Sikandar Raza, who was part of MLC 2025 during the South Africa Tests, has returned to the squad alongside Roy Kaia and Tanunurwa Makoni.
Opening batters Takudzwanashe Kaitano and Prince Masvaure, middle-order batter Wessly Madhevere and seamer Kundai Matigimu, who played against South Africa, have been left out.
Blessing Muzarabani will be leading the pace attack while Richard Ngarava has been left out. The left arm quick has injured his back in Test against England but returned to Zimbabwe T20I Tri-Series which features Zimbabwe, South Africa and New Zealand.
Brian Bennett who was concussed in the first test against South Africa has been returned to the squad.
Bot tests of the New Zealand tour of Zimbabwe 2025 will be played in Bulawaya. This is the first time Zimbabwe will play tests against New Zealand visited Bulawayo and won the series 2-0.
Since last December, Zimbabwe has played eight tests including five at home at Queens Sports Club. However, they lost all their home games and one won of their last 15 tests.
The matches are the part of the Current World Test Champions Cycle. The first test will be played between July 30 and August 03 at Queens Sports Club.
