BAN vs HKG Playing 11: Litton Das-led Bangladesh will square off against Yasim Murtaza-led Hong Kong in the 3rd match of the Asia Cup 2025 on September 11 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
Hong Kong lost the first game of their Asia Cup campaign against Afghanistan and will look to win the upcoming clash to keep their tournament hopes alive.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh are set to begin their campaign after a successful bilateral wins against Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The 17th edition of the Asia Cup tournament is scheduled to be played from September 9 and 28.
The tournament will be played in T20I format, played between 8 teams, with five full members of the ACC – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have been automatically qualified for the tournament.
Meanwhile United Arab Emirates, Oman and Hong Kong, the teams which finished in the top three in the 2024 Acc Men’s Premier Cup.
8 teams divided into two groups to play in the group stages and the top two teams of the Asia Cup 2025 points table will advance to Super Four stages.
The teams will play with each other in the Super Fours and the top two team will advance to the finals.

Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bowl first. Speaking at the toss, Litton Das said, “We’ll bowl first. First game for us, don’t know how the pitch will behave so looking to bowl. Have played very good cricket in the last three series but these are different conditions. Three seamers, two spinners and six batters. Every game is important for us. Have to give 100 percent.”
Meanwhile, Murtaza said, “Wanted to bat first. We got what we wanted. Made few mistakes in the middle with the batters in the last game. Whatever has happened has happened in the past. New day today.”
