    Arshdeep Singh Grabs Spotlight as India Beats Oman by 21 Runs At Abu Dhabi

    The Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh went on to make a record during India’s 21 run victory against Oman in the Asia Cup 2025 on September 20 at Abu Dhabi.

    He went on to take his 100th T20I wicket and become the first Indian to bag 100 wickets in short format. By this win, India remained unbeaten in their Group stages of the Asia Cup 2025 and continues to remain in the top spot in the Group A of Asia Cup 2025 points table.

    After choosing to bat first, Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill opened the innings for India while Shakeel Ahmed opened the bowling attack.

    With Gill’s dismissal by Faisal for 5 runs, Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson went on to push India’s score to 60 in the powerplay.

    Jiten Ramanandi grabbed the second dismissal for the side bagging the wicket of Abhishek Sharma for 38 runs. Hardik Pandya lost his wicket on a run out.

    With Axar Patel (26) and Tilak Varma (29) runs, Samson went on to smash 56 runs off 45 deliveries which included 3 fours and 3 sixes.

    With Harshit Rana’s unbeaten 13 runs, India went on to score 188 runs in their 20 over innings.

    In the pursuit of chasing 189 run target, Jatinder Singh and Aamir Kaleem opened the innings for Oman while Hardik Pandya opened the bowling attack.

    The opener duo made a decent partnership scoring 44 runs in the powerplay. Oman scored 56 runs for the first wicket as Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Jatinder Singh for 32 runs.

    Hammad Mirza joined Aamir Kaleem troubling Indian bowlers as the side failed to pick wickets.

    The duo went on to stitch 93-run partnership before the dismissal of Kaleem for 64 runs by Harshit Rana.

    Hammad Mirza also went on to smash a 33-ball 51 which included 5 fours and 2 sixes. With Vinayak Shukla’s dismissal for 1 runs by Arshdeep Singh, Zikria Islam and Jiten Ramanandi at crease Oman went on to score 167 runs in their 20 over innings and lost the game short of 21 runs.

    India is set to play their next match against rivals Pakistan in the Super Four stages of the tournament on September 21 at Dubai.
