India and Bangladesh will lock horns to play the final game of the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four round on September 15 in R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

The Indian cricket team has already qualified for the Asia Cup 2023 Finals while Bangladesh who was eliminated from the Asia Cup 2023 Final race will seek a consolation win in their last game of the tournament.

India will face Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2023 final game scheduled to be played on September 17 in R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

• Taskin Ahmed is Bangladesh’s leading wicket-taker in 2023 with 21 wickets in 10 innings. He has picked up two or more wickets six times.
• Rohit Sharma’s last five innings against Bangladesh in multi-national tournaments read 137, 123*, 83*, 48 and 104.

Winning the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said “We are gonna field first. It is something we haven’t done in the tournament, we haven’t done it under lights so it gives us an opportunity to bat under lights. The wicket honestly has got everything for everyone. Pacers who bend their back in the daytime have also got movement and there have been assistance for the spinners”.

“Got to be brave and play your natural game. We got to give game time to some other guys who haven’t played. We have made five changes. Virat, Hardik, Siraj, Bumrah and Kuldeep are out. Tilak makes his debut. Shami and Prasidh also come in. Suryakumar also gets a game”, Rohit added.

As expected India made a number of changes in their playing 11 for their game against Bangladesh. Notably, Indian batter Virat Kohli has been rested for the game.
