The Indian star Suryakumar Yadav remains in the top spot as a T20I batter while Ravichandran Ashwin maintains the top spot in the Test rankings for bowlers.

Adil Rashid becomes No. 1 T20I bowler in ICC rankings

The England leg-spinner Adil Rashid has topped the spot as a T20I bowler while the Pakistan batter Babar Azam has displaced India opener Shubman Gill’s position in the ICC men’s ODI rankings.

Adil Rashid has surpassed leg-spinners Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and India’s Ravi Bishnoi who were placed in No. 2 and No. 3 spots. He moved to the top after bagging seven wickets in the first four T20Is of England’s tour of West Indies. He reached the top spot on the day he went unsold during the IPL 2024 auction.

Adil Rashid is the second England player to reach the top spot in the ICC men’s T20I rankings after offspinner Graeme Swann who reached the top spot more than a decade ago.

On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav stayed in top rank after scoring a fifty and a hundred in the second and third T20Is in India’s tour of South Africa 2023. He leads Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan in second place with 100 rating points.

The Pakistani player Babar Azam has surpassed the Indian star Shubman Gill in the ODI rankings. The Indian star is rested in the ODI series of India’s South Africa tour and hasn’t played in the ODI since the World Cup 2023.

Kane Williamson remains NO.1 in the Test rankings while Usman Khawaja moves up to the fourth place after their side’s win in the first test of Pakistan’s tour of Australia tour 2023.

Pat Cummins has moved to the third spot in the Test bowling rankings, while Nathan Lyon has reached the fifth spot, Mitchell Starc moved to the eighth and Josh Hazlewood moved to the tenth spot.
