2026 BAN vs AUS 1st ODI Playing 11: Mehidy Hasan Miraz-led Bangladesh will square off against Josh Inglis-led Australia in the 1st ODI match on June 09 at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka.
Both sides are set to prepare for the upcoming ODI World Cup in 2027, working on their combinations and different conditions to sharpen their talents.
Despite a 2-1 loss in the recently concluded series against Pakistan, Australia will be hoping to bounce back and secure a series win against Bangladesh.
The cricketing sides have met on 22 occasions where Australia have 20 wins while Bangladesh have one win and one game ended with no result.

Australia won the toss and opted to bowl. Speaking at the toss, Josh Inglis said, “We will bowl first. Just a bit of unknown wicket, there could be some moisture and could nip around a bit. It’s just about adapting early,. Clear communication with the group. We have a couple of net sessions.”
Speaking on Australia’s combinations and playing 11, Inglis said, “Liam Scott is making his debut and Xavier Bartlett is back as well.”
Meanwhile, Mehidy Hasan Miraz said, “We’re very excited. We have done well in the last 2-3 series and I’m confident in this unit. The wicket looks good, however, the first 10 overs could be crucial.”
Speaking on Bangladesh’s combinations and Playing 11, Miraz said, “We’ve three fast bowlers, three spinners, 5 batters and 2 all-rounders.
