AUSW vs PAKW Playing 11: Alyssa Healy-led Australia will square off against Fatima Sana-led Pakistan Women in the 9th match of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 on October 08 at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
Australia has won their opening match of the tournament against New Zealand Women by 89 runs, while the game against Sri Lanka has been abandoned due to rain.
Meanwhile, Pakistan suffered back-to-back losses in the tournament. First, they suffered a 7-wicket victory against Bangladesh and went on to suffer an 88-run victory in the game against India Women.
With Pakistan reeling at the bottom, Australia comfortably sits in the top positions of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 points table.

Australia and Pakistan Women has met on 16 occasions in ODI format where, the Aussies has showed atmost dominance winning all the games.
Pakistan women won the toss and opted to bowl. Speaking at the toss, Fatima Sana, “Going to bowl first. Conditions suit spinners and pitch looks very dry. Will try to execute better plans today. Aliya Riaz is out and Eyman Fatima is in. She’s a powerhitter.”
Meanwhile Alyssa Healy said, “Was looking to have a bat anyway. Two changes: Wareham and Schutt back in. Darcie Brown and Molineux out. We knew Soph was going to have to be managed throughout the tournament.”
