I love Test cricket, it’s the ultimate challenge and I’m really excited by the opportunity to lead the team in this format. Kane’s been an outstanding Test captain and I’m looking forward to working with Gary on how we can build on that”, Tim Southee said on being appointed as New Zealand New Test Captain.

Tim Southee made his Test debut on March 22, 2008 against England and played 88 Tests, 151 ODIs and 106 T20Is so far.
