RR Retained And Released Players 2023: The IPL inaugural edition winner Rajasthan Royals ended up as runner-up of the last season. Defending champions Gujarat Titans slam Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets in the IPL 2022 final.
Founded in 2008, Rajasthan Royals won their maiden title in their first appearance by beating Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2008 final match in Mumbai. The team won the inaugural edition of the IPL under the captaincy of Shane Warne.

RR Retained and Released Players: It is learned that ahead of IPL 2023 auction, all teams are asked to submit their final list of retained players by November 15, 2022.
In order to avoid a massive collapse all teams will look to retain their star performer and will release the rest. It is expected that all teams will retain a maximum of 15 players ahead of the tournament.

RR Released Players 2023: Rajasthan Royals will not risk releasing Jos Buttler who ended up as the leading run-scorer of the tournament. Apart from Buttler, Rajasthan Royals will not release Sanju Samson and Devdutt Padikkal who out-performed in the last season.
The transfer window for players will be open till about a week prior to the auction and will re-open after that.
