Royal Challengers Bangalore is arranging a chartered flight for their skipper Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj to move from Manchester to the UAE.

The fifth and final Test match between England and India was cancelled due to the COVID scare in the Indian camp. The BCCI and the ECB reached on a unanimous decision to cancel the Test match.

“Following ongoing conversations with the BCCI, the ECB can confirm that the fifth LV= Insurance Test between England and India Men due to start today at Emirates Old Trafford, will be canceled. Due to fears of a further increase in the number of COVID cases inside the camp, India is regrettably unable to field a team. We send our sincere apologies to fans and partners for this news” ECB’s statement read.

Post the decision the IPL franchises starts to move their players to the UAE where the second leg of IPL 2021 is scheduled to play.

Earlier the IPL 2021 was postponed in its midway after COVID19 infiltrate in the bio bubble. The UAE leg resumes on September 19 with CSK and Mumbai Indians playing the opener. RCB take on KKR in the second game on September 20.

An RCB official reported that the two players will fly on Saturday at 11:30 pm (UK time) and would reach Dubai by Sunday morning.

“Yes, we have arranged a charter flight for Virat and Siraj, both of them will be flying out at 11:30 PM UK time on Saturday and they will reach Dubai early Sunday morning. Safe transit of players is the utmost priority for RCB. They will undergo 6-day quarantine there before joining the team bubble,” the source told ANI.

Mumbai Indians stars including skipper Rohit Sharma are leaving for Dubai on Saturday while Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Punjab Kings have also made individual travel arrangements with BCCI’s plans for a charter flight on September 15 after the cancellation of the fifth Test in Manchester. For MI, the other players who would be leaving for Dubai with their respective families are Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav.

Ravindra Jadeja, Cheteshwar Pujara, Shardul Thakur, Moeen Ali, and Sam Curran are part of the CSK squad which has already started training ahead of the IPL resuming September 19.

Captain K L Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Mohammad Shami, and Dawid Malan are the Punjab players who are in Manchester.
