The Rajasthan Royals went off to an aggressive start during a 205-run chase in the IPL 2025 games against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
RR’s young openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi started picking sixes in the first over of the chase itself. They went on to score 72 runs in the powerplay despite the dismissal of 14-year-old Suryavanshi and Jaiswal.
Bhuvneswar picked the wicket of Suryavanshi, breaking the Rajasthan Royals’ momentum. However, Nitish Rana joined Jaiswal to pick up on RCB’s bowlers, but Josh Hazlewood bagged the wicket of dangerous Jaiswal.
Riyan Parag joined Rana to hit back-to-back boundaries in their innings. However, Krunal Pandya provided a breakthrough, picking the wicket of Parag (22).

Earlier, Bengaluru batted first posting a total of 205 runs for 5 wickets, aiming for a first win in the home ground of the season. Bengaluru has lost all three matches they played at Bengaluru so far this season.
Phil Salt and Virat Kohli opened their innings while Archer opened the bowling attack. They went on to score 59 runs in the power play. However, Phil Salt lost his wicket to Hasaranga in the 7th over providing a break through for Royals.
Devdutt Padikkal joined Kohli to stitch a 95-run partnership before Archer dismissing Kohli for 70 runs. Padikkal went on to score a fifty on 27 deliveries before being dismissed by Sandeep Sharma.
Patidar lost his wicket to Sandeep Sharma on the same over. With contributions from Tim David (23) and Jitesh Sharma (20) Royal Challengers went on to score 205 runs in their 20 overs.
