PBKS Released Players 2026 List: Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings (PBKS) had a remarkable campaign during the IPL 2025 season, reaching the finals after a decade. However, they became runners-up after suffering a 6-run defeat against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on June 03.
Despite their memorable season, PBKS are likely to release underperforming players before the IPL 2026 auction to free up some purse to strengthen their squad for the next season.
With the deadline for submitting the retention players list ending by November 15, BCCI planned to hold the IPL 2026 mini auction on December 16, 2025, ahead of the IPL 2026 tournament, which usually follows the March-May window.
According to IPL 2026 auction rules, there are no restrictions on the number of players who can be released or retained.
In addition to the purse remaining from the previous auction and the value of the players they release, teams will likely to have a total purse value of INR 151 crore for the upcoming season.

Punjab Kings Owner, Home Venue
Punjab Kings is jointly owned by Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia, Preity Zinta and Karan Paul. Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur which has a capacity of 33,000 will be the primary home venue for PBKS.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to host the Ipl 2026 auction on December 16, 2025.

IPL 2026 Teams Purse Value: The IPL 2026 purse value will be INR 151 Crore. Additionally, each player will receive a match fee of INR 7.5 lakhs per match on top of thier contracted amount.
Punjab Kings has spent a total of INR 113.50 crore on retention and will enter the auction with a price value of INR 11.50 crore.
