While chasing, with a mammoth target on the board, Rajasthan Royals made a struggling start by losing three wickets inside the first powerplay. Though RR lost early wickets, their impact player Sanju Samson kept scoring runs from one end.
With Dhruv Jurel’s 19 runs in the sixth over, Rajasthan royals scored 77 runs for three wickets loss at the end of the first powerplay. With a steady partnership from this duo, RR scored 151 runs at the end of 13 overs.
While the duo seems dangerous with their 100-run partnership, Harshal Patel broke the well-settled partnership by dismissing Samson for 66 runs. In the very next over Adam Zampa dismissed well settled batter Dhruv Jurel for 70 and scattered RR’s dream of chasing the target.
Though Shubham Dubey and Hetmyer made some impressive shots they weren’t enough to reach the target. At the end of 20 overs, RR managed to score 242 runs after losing six wickets and fell 44 runs short for the win.
