The former Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin gave D Gukesh a CSK jersey and also played chess with the youngest World Champion D Gukesh.
Ravichandran who returned to Yellow jersey since last playing for them way back in 2015. Ashwin had a heartfelt meeting with D. Gukesh at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium.
Ashwin was thrilled to meet Gukesh, the youngest world chess Champions. The 18-year old Gukesh was ecstatic after the interaction with the legendary Indian off-spinner.

D Gukesh has become the only second Indian, after the legendary Viswanathan Anand to win the World Chess Championship. Gukesh triumphed over China’s Din Liren in a thrilling title in Singapore.
Ashwin expressed his feelings about rejoining the franchise where he began his IPL journey.
CSK shared a video on social media in which the spinner said, “It feels very odd actually, it has been many years since I left, I am coming back to the same team, all the people are the same, every day I used to practice vigorously for the season. CSK bought Ashwin for ₹9.75 crore in the mega auction”
The 38 year old has taken 180 wickets in the IPL from 212 matches at an economy rate of 7.12. In addition to playing for CSK, he has also represented Pune Supergiants, Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals.
It remains to be seen whether the former spinner will be included in the CSK’s line up for the IPL 2025. Chennai Super Kings will play their first match of the 2025 campaign against Mumbai Indians on March 23 at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium.
