IPL 2023 KKR vs CSK league match was scheduled to play in Eden Garden on April 23 where the broadcaster made an aerial view of the stadium. Right after the view, for a second everyone might have been confused about whether the match is being played in Chennai or Kolkata.

Though the Eden Garden was the home venue for KKR, fans dressed up in YELLOW and made massive support for CSK particularly for MS Dhoni.

Speaking before the match, Shastri said on Star Sports, “It’s the sea of yellow in Eden, tribute to one man. He’s the King of East, it’s MS Dhoni.”

All the smiles of the Dhoni fans were put on hold after the CSK skipper hinted towards his retirement during the post-match interaction.

After winning the match, Dhoni said, “I will just say thanks for the support, they came in big numbers. Most of these guys will come in a KKR jersey next time. They are trying to give me a farewell, so thanks a lot to the crowd.”

While on the other hand, KKR’s openers failed to make an impact in the chase. While Jason Roy and Rinku Singh made a threatening inning, M Theekshana scatters the dream by dismissing Roy for 61 runs.

Finally, CSK won the match by 49 runs and moved to the top of the IPL 2023 Points Table. CSK will play their next game against RR on April 27 in Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
