Punjab Kings who are well known for their aggressive batting style, struggle to face KKR’s bowling attack. Harshit Rana played a vital role in Punjab Kings’ downfall as the pacer bagged three wickets inside the first powerplay.
Harshit Rana dismissed Priyansh Arya, Shreyas Iyer, and Prabhsimran Singh inside the powerplay and shocked the Punjab Kings dugout.
Speaking of the match, Punjab Kings won the toss and opted to bat first. Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran opened the innings for Punjab Kings, while Vaibhav Arora opened the bowling attack.
Though the duo made an impressive start, Rana in the fourth over dismissed Arya for 22 runs and made the first breakthrough. In the same over, Rana dismissed Iyer for two-ball duck.
After losing two key wickets in the same over, PBKS was expected to build a partnership, but Varun Chakaravarthy in the next over, dismissed Josh for two runs and loaded pressure over the PBKS batting lineup.
While Prabhsimran struck back-to-back sixes in the final over of the first powerplay, Rana dismissed Singh for 30 runs and contained PBKS for 54 runs for four wickets at the end of six overs.
