Deepak Chahar’s impressive display during the CSK vs MI clash in the IPL 2025 season has been intensified by his sister with a meme which went viral.
Deepak Chahar’s sister created a thoughtful Instagram story referencing ‘Kattappa’ after his impactful performance against his former franchise CSK on March 23.
The reference comes from an Indian film Baahubali, which symbolises betrayal, leading fans to connect with his all-rounder display when Mumbai was tattering with a fall of wickets.
Chahar was bought by Mumbai Indians for INR 9.25 crore after an intense bidding war involving Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings.
He made unbeaten 28 runs off 15 deliveries during the death overs helped MI to reach a competitive total of 155. With the ball, he delivered a spell of 1/18 helping Mumbai.
However, Mumbai couldn’t overcome their arch-rivals, as Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra composed 50’s each which guided CSK to victory with five balls to spare.

After the win, CSK skipper said, “Happy to be on the winning side, loved to have been more clinical but that is how the game goes. That is the requirement of the team (talking about the move to bat at three) and that gives the team more balance and I am really happy to change my position.”
“The spinners were right on point and right after the auction, one thing we were really excited was all those three spinners bowling in tandem at Chepauk. Khaleel is experienced and Noor is an X factor and that is why we wanted him in the team and good to have Ash as well,” Ruturaj Gaikwad added.
