Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ropes Gujarat’s Aarya Desai for the rest of IPL 2023. The 20-year-old made his first-class debut for Gujarat earlier this year and has one fifty in six innings.

Kolkata Knight Riders who were without the service of the prime player Shreyas Iyer hold the 4th spot in the IPL 2023 Points Table. Iyer has sustained a back injury and will undergo surgery to be ready in time for the 2023 World Cup.
KKR did not make an impressive start this season. KKR lost their first match of the season against PBKS by 7 runs(DLS method).
Following the defeat, KKR made a back-to-back victory against RCB and GT. No one can forget Rinku Singh’s impressive performance against Gujarat Titans where the left-arm batter struck 5 six in the last over to lead his team towards victory.
Though the team receives praise from all around the world, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra slams Andre Russell for his underperformance in the ongoing IPL 2023.
The move was announced via a media release as Desai will join the franchise for INR 20 lakhs. The statement reads: “Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Friday brought Aarya Desai on board for the remainder of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023”.

Desai represents Gujarat in domestic cricket, has played 3 First-Class matches and has 151 runs against his name. He joins KKR for INR 20 Lakh.
KKR will play their next game of the season against Mumbai Indians on April 16 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
