We’ll bowl first. Can’t really think of a reason why but it’s a fresh wicket. We’d want to bowl well upfront and restrict them. One change – Manish misses out and Gowtham comes in. Still early in the competition. Chat is about forgetting what happened, whether we win or lose, and putting our 100 percent going forward. Another opportunity to go out there and perform well as a team.

We’d have bowled first as well, because we haven’t played here before. Three changes for us – Warner comes in for Seifert, Nortje in for Khaleel and Sarfaraz replaces Mandeep. He (Warner) is a big addition, such an experienced player and will add value for us.

Delhi Capitals Batting
Prithvi Shaw and David Warner gets into the crease while Jason Holder opens the bowling attack.
Prithvi Shaw started the innings with aggressive shots while David Warner struggles to make impressive shots in his IPL 2022 debut match. Though Warner struggles to hit aggressive shots he plays a key role in building a partnership with Shaw.
Both led Delhi Capitals to score 52 runs for no wicket loss at the end of the powerplay. Krishnappa Gowtham in the 8th over dismissed Shaw for 61 runs and breaks the well-settled partnership.
In the very next over Ravi Bishnoi dismissed Warner for 4 runs and restricted DC to score 73 runs for 2 wickets loss at the end of the 10 overs.
With Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan unbeaten 39 and 36 runs Delhi Capitals scored 149 runs for 3 wickets loss at the end of the 20 overs.
Lucknow Super Giants Batting
KL Rahul and de Kock walks into the crease to lead LSG to chase down the target of 150 runs while Mustafizur opens the bowling attack.
As expected LSG’s opening batsmen made a steady start and scored 48 runs without losing a wicket at the end of the powerplay. Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav finally made the expected break by dismissing KL Rahul for 24 runs.
de Kock poses a serious threat to Delhi Capitals as he stand till the 15th over and scored 71 runs from 48 balls at the end of the 15 overs where LSG scored 111 runs for 2 wickets loss.
Kuldeep Yadav who bowls replaces Nortje after bowling his second beamer in the 16th over dismissed dangerous de Kock for 80 runs.
Krunal Pandya and Krunal Pandya with their “COOL” knock lead Lucknow to register their 3rd victory of the tournament by beating DC by 6 wickets.

It was a matter of just playing what’s in front of you, reacting to it. It was a chaseable score. You want a decent start in the powerplay and we didn’t want to get too ahead in the chase. Was important to keep wickets in hand. Prithvi did make it look easy, for me I also felt that it was a slow surface. Even with the dew, there was a bit of grip. If we were chasing 180, might have been difficult but thanks to our bowlers.
