A leaked video from an IPL 2024 shoot featuring the Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has gone viral on Social media. We can see Hardik complaining about the food served during the shoot and he asked for his chef and nutritionist in the video.
He was served Dhokla and Jalebi for lunch but the player was clear about his appetite. A person tried to convince him, but he was adamant that he would not be eating the food that he was served.
Some fans praised his dedication to his fitness while other fans dismissed the video as a PR Stunt before the competition.
On this occasion, former India wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel said that Hardik Pandya will be handling pressure while leading Mumbai Indians in the upcoming IPL 2024.
“Of course, his (Pandya’s) captaincy is a talking point. The way he led the side (Gujarat Titans), winning the championship in the first year, a last-ball finish in the final next year, it was a great run at Gujarat Titans,” Parthiv said in an interview.
“Hardik has moved on, is now back in Mumbai, where his cricket started. There will be a lot of expectations from MI because the trophy is long due.
“For MI, qualifying is not a success; it’s about winning championships. That’s something they must have thought, and it seems like a well-thought decision to get him on board, looking at the future.”
The 17 edition of the IPL 2024 is set to begin next month. All 10 franchises filled their squad with the remaining slots during the mini-auction in last year December last year.
Unlike previous tournaments, some players have been withdrawn from the tournament due to injury concerns and to manage their workload for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, and the franchise named their replacements.
As per the IPL 2024 schedule the tournament is set to begin on March 22 with reigning champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore to play in the first match.
