Ashleigh Gardener’s stunning performance
Australia get into trouble when its opener Alyssa Healy(0) caught midwicket and return to pavilion while try to hit a drag down short ball. Then Ashleigh Gardener partners with Beth Mooney and adds 62 runs in total. Mooney lost her wicket at 16 while hitting a high full toss from Deol that carries straight to Mandhana at deep midwicket. On the other hand Gardner plays a aggressive game and scored 93 off just 57 balls which includes 11×4, 3×6. In shortage of 7 runs for a perfect century,Gardner lost her wicket to Yadav where she tries to loft inside out over mid-off, Deepti Sharma took a perfect back paddling catch there. Australia makes 173 runs and set a maasive target for its opponent.
India’s strong opening
A mammoth target of 174 to chase down Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana make their way to the ground for their opening performance. This duo provides India a good start which is very much important for India’s chasing. They gathered a total of 85 runs for their first wicket in 8.2 overs. Shafali lose her wicket to the Perry’s chest high short ball when she is just a run away from her half century. Jemimah Rodrigues make her way to the ground and took an impressive 30(19) which sums up India’s score toward the victory. Meanwhile Smriti Mandhana got out at 55(48) when India scored a sum of 164,which is just a few runs away from the victory. Then Deepti Sharma with her four leads India towards Victory with 2 balls remaining.
