BCCI President Sourav Ganguly Announces 5 crore Bonus for Team India

The Indian team which battled all odds to pull off a record-breaking chase in the 4th Test at the Gabba, thus claiming the series win by a 2-1 margin, will receive a monetary bonus of INR 5 crore, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly tweeted minutes after the match ended on Tuesday.

The former India captain congratulated the team for the “remarkable series win” and also announced Rs. five crore bonus for the players and support staff.

“Just a remarkable win…To go to Australia and win a test series in this way ..will be remembered in the history of indian cricket forever ..Bcci announces a 5 cr bonus for the team ..The value of this win is beyond any number ..well done to every member of the touring party..” he said.

Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir also took the micro-blogging site to express his happiness after India’s one of the most memorable series wins on foreign soil.

Young Team India Shines at Australia

A young Indian team, powered by Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar and others, defeated Australia by three wickets in the fourth Test at The Gabba on Tuesday.

With the win, India clinched the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by 2-1.

Chasing a target of 328, India in the second innings scored 329/7.

After Shubman Gill started the fight with a 91-run knock, the Indian innings was pulled by Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant, who remained unbeaten at 89.

Rishabh Pant scored an unbeaten 89 in the fourth innings as India registered one of the biggest overseas victories in their history to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy,
