Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Squad: The 13th edition of the Women’s Cricket World Cup is scheduled to be hosted in India and Sri Lanka.
This will be the last time the tournament has eight teams. In June 2025, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the tournament would take place from September 30 to November 2, 2025.
Australia are the defending champion, having won their seventh title in 2022 after defeating England women by 21 runs.
As per the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 schedule, the first match will be played between India and Sri Lanka on September 30 at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati.

ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Format and Qualification Process
A total of 8 teams will be playing the round robin and knock out stages to decide the finalists of the tournament. On 19 December 2024, following the agreement between BCCI and PCB, the ICC has issued update on India and Pakistan matches will be hosted at neutral venues in 2024-27 cycle.
Being the host nation India has been regular, Australia, England, New Zealand, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka has been added as the top five teams of the 2022-25 ICC Women’s Championship.
Meanwhile Bangladesh and Pakistan has been qualified for the main tournament, 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup qualifiers.
