The venue for IND-PAK Clash in the Women’s World Cup 2025 has been confirmed. The tournament will kick off on September 30, with India taking on Sri Lanka at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
The Arch rivals India and Pakistan, who clashed on the battlefield in May, are set to meet in the tournament, which is co-jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
As per the hybrid model agreed upon by the BCCI and PCB earlier this year, Pakistan will play all their matches in Colombo, a neutral venue. Consequently, Harmanpreet Kaur & Co will travel to Colombo for the marquee group-stage clash.
The eight-team tournament will be played in a round-robin format before the playoffs. Meanwhile, defending champions Australia will be facing Trans-Tasman rivals and T20 World Champions New Zealand in Indore on October 01.

However, the matches has shortlisted five venues for the tournament – Bengaluru, Guwahati, Vishakapatnam and Indore in India while Colombo in Sri Lanka.
The tournament will feature 28 league games followed by three knockouts. India are hosting the women’s ODI World Cup for the first time since 2013. The format for the 2025 tournament will be the same as in 2022, with each of the eight teams playing the other in round robin format, with the top four making the semi finals.
Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka apart from hosts India, qualified directly for the tournament.
The last two spots were taken by Pakistan and Bangladesh at the qualifiers in Lahore this year. The tournament will not feature West Indies, who missed out to Bangladesh on net run-rate at the qualifier.
