The Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood, who has played three tests at Lord’s, has never lost a game at the venue.
The 34-year-old is confident of claiming the WTC 2025 title as he gears up for the finals on June 11 at Lord’s. The fast bowler who has recently guided RCB to its maiden IPL trophy has never lost a final.
He holds an unbeatable record, having played in a total of nine finals – two ODI World Cups, one T20 World Cup, Caribbean Premier Leagues, Big Bash League, a U-19 World Cup and a Sheffield Shield.
The high-stakes clash between Australia and South Africa for the mace will commence on June 11, which will see Pat Cummins and co. chase their second consecutive WTC title.

He is confident of bowling in England any time he played in the country. “Any time I bowl in England I’m reasonably confident. I’ve had some good tours here over the last 10 years and Lord’s in particular. I haven’t lost before at Lord’s yet as a player, certainly in red-ball cricket for sure and we have had a couple of good wins there over the years,” Hazlewood said.
Hazlewood has picked 22 wickets in 12 matches in IPL 2025, averaging 15. He having spent previous year battling injury, the right armer found his rhythm again in sensation IPL run.
He missed few matches in the IPL, but his return for the playoffs significantly boosted RCB’s pace strength.
Ahead of the big finals, Hazlewood wished to continue his good form into the finals and win the gold and silver mace at the Mecca of Cricket after missing the previous final due to injury.
He also misssed the fourth and fifth test of the 2024-25 Border Gavaskar Trophy against India as a precautinary measure for a shoulder niggle.
