A brilliant performance from Shamar Joseph, along with a contribution from Sherfane Rutherford, set up the West Indies to post a 5-wicket victory against Sri Lanka at Kingston.
Joseph’s five-wicket haul and an unbeaten fifty from Sherfane Rutherford have powered West Indies 2-1 series win against the visitors.
After being invited to bat first, Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis opened the innings while Akeal Hosein opened the bowling attack.
Matthew Forde bagged the wicket of Kusal Mendis for 5 runs. Kamil Mishara who joined Nissanka at crease, forged a 43-run partnership for the second wicket.
Shamar Joseph bagged his first wicket dismissing Nissanka for 26 runs. He went on to pick his second wicket dismissing Pavan Rathnayake for a duck.
By the end of powerplay Sri Lanka scored 51 runs for 3 wickets. Kamil Mishara scored 28 runs before being dismissed by Roston Chase.
Kamindu Mendis and Dasun Shanaka added 20 and 16 runs respectively before walking back to dug out after their dismissal respectively.

However, a decent contribution from Dunith Wellalage has stabilised the innings. Meanwhile, Hasaranga added 21 runs before his run out.
Meanwhile Shamar Joseph finished the job picking the wickets of Dunith Welllalage, Maheesh Theekshana and Dushmantha Chameera. Sri Lanka lost all 10 wickets to score 169 runs in their 20 over innings.

Chasing a 170 run target, Brandon King and Shai Hope opened the innings while Dunith Wellalage opened the bowling attack.
Dunith Wellalage brought a early breakthrough dismissing Shai Hope for golden duck. Shimron Hetmyer joined King at crease as the side scored 51 runs in the powerplay.
King scored 16 runs before Hasaranga sent him back to dug out in the 7th over. Theekshana bagged the wicket of Ackeem Auguste for 1 run.
A decent contributions from Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell has stabilised the West Indies innings.
After their dismissals, Sherfane Rutherford and Jason Holder went on to complete a chase. Sherfane Rutherford remained unbeaten with 54* runs while Holder contributed 21 runs as the side secured a 5-wicket victory.
