Veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has secured 600 international wickets and become fifth Indian bowler to do so. The achievement for Jadeja came during the first ODI of England tour of India.
Jadeja’s final figures of 3 for 26 runs in nine overs helped Indian dismiss England for 248 runs in 47.4 overs. His third wicket of the match marked the 600th wicket milestone.
He will be joining Indian bowling legends Anil Kumble, (953), Ravinchandran Ashwin (765), Harbhajan Singh (707), Kapil Dev (687).

Jadeja was introduced to attack in the 15th over, Jadeja made his presence with sharp turn from the pitch.
He picked his first wicket when he trapped Joe Root on a lbw with a quicker delivery. he followed it by dismissing Jacob Bethell who scored 51 runs, in a similar fashion.
His third wicket was Adhil Rashid. Since his international debut in 2009, Jadeja established himself as a key player for India across formats.
He has 323 test wickets, 3,370 runs in the format. In ODIs he has claimed 223 wickets in 198 matches, including two five wicket haul.
Following India’s victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup, Jadeja announced his T20I retirement.
His ODI wickt tally places him among seve Indian bowlers who have taken over 200 wickets in the format, alongside with Anil Kumble, Kapil Dev, Javagal Srinath, Zaheer Khan, Ajit Agarkar and Harbhajan Singh.
He was in red hot-form after coming off a sensational 10-wicket haul for Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy, which remains the world why hs is an automatic selection in any Indian 11.
Jadeja also etched his name into the record books as the highest wicket-taker in India-England ODIs playing in India, surpassing James Anderson (40) and Leaving behind Andrew Flintoff (37). With 6,000 international runs to complement his 600 wickets, Jadeja now stands alone a-one-of-a-kind India spinner.
