The Oval Invincibles registered a stellar victory over Trent Rockets in The Hundred Men’s 2025 competition and secured their third consecutive title.

They have joined the likes of Victoria, Sialkot Stallions, Wayamba, Trinidad & Tobago, Titans and Jaffna Kings to win a hat-trick of T20 titles.

Will Jacks’ (72) blitz and Nathan Sowter’s impressive spell (3/25) helped the side to post a 26-run victory over Trent Rockets.

Oval Invincibes batting first, Jacks went off aggressive start, smashing seven fours and four sixes in 41-ball 72. With Tawanda Muyeye and Sam Curran adding 15 runs each to the board, Jordan Cox was breezy in the end helping the side to post 168/5.

Marcus Stoinis was the highest wicket-taker for his side in the first inning with two wickets to his name. Dillon Pennington and Rehan Ahmed took one wicket each as well.

Chasing down the target, Trent Rockets made a decent start, where Tom Banton and Joe Root scored 23 and 10 runs respectively.

Things got worse where David Willey and Rehan Ahmed scored 14 and 0 for duck. However, Marcus Stoinis stabilized the innings by scoring 64 runs in 38 deliveries, but it was not enough in the end as Oval Invincibles limited Rockets to a score of 142 in the second innings.

Nathan Sowter was the highest wicket taker picking three wickets to his name. Saqib Mahmood, Tom Curran and Adam Zampa took one wicket each in the second innings as Oval Invincibles restricted Trend Rockets for 142 runs in the second innings.

Nathan Sowter was named as the Player of the Match. Speaking on the post match conference, Sowter said, “Obviously to play in this team is incredible. Gave me so many opportunities to do well. Tonight was my night. Very happy.”

“The last few games have been given the reins to lead the spin attack. Got the result again, that is the best thing. Everyone in this team has come together from far and wide. Have embraced each other,” concluded Sowter.
