NZ vs WI 2nd Test Pitch Report
The pitch at Basin Reserve traditionally assists seamers with strong swing and seam deviation. Meanwhile, Batting becomes easier on day 02 and 3 as the surface flattens out.
However, scoring on fourth innings will be difficult where cracks openup, providing inconsistent bounce. Spin may not dominate but can be effective in the second half of the match.
Teams might generally prefer bowling first to exploit early movement and windy conditions, batting becomes easier later.
