The 23-year-old Nahid Rana has been recalled to the Bangladesh squad for the T20I series against Australia, which is set to begin following the conclusion of the ODI series.
Litton Das will be leading the Bangladesh squad, which features the return of Taskin Ahmed after having missed the T20I series against New Zealand in April.
Nahid Rana and Taskin Ahmed will be replacing Ripon Mondol and Mohammad Saifuddin in the squad.
“Nahid Rana is ready to play all three formats,” said chief selector Habibul Bashar.
“It’s very difficult to leave him out. He is a champion bowler. Whenever we leave him out of a format, the main reason is workload management.”
Meanwhile, Bangladesh have also named their test squad for the upcoming One-off test against Zimbabwe in Harare. Towhid Hridoy has been one of the four changes aiming to make a transition in red-ball cricket.
Towhid Hridoy has played 52 ODIs and 59 T20Is since his international debut in 2023. Meanwhile, he has only 16 first-class matches in which he scored three centuries.

Bangladesh secured a 2-0 win in the ongoing ODI series and will be aiming for a whitewash against Australia.
Taskin Ahmed and Nahid Rana have been rested for the test squad, while medium pacer Robiul Haque is another notable inclusion. He has picked up 107 wickets and 620 runs in 32 first-class matches.
