In the pursuit of chasing the 201 target, Monank Patel and de Kock opened the innings where the latter got dismissed by Sikandar Raza for 14 runs.
However, Monank Patel went on aggressive mode smashing 8 fours and 7 sixes in his knock. After his dismissal, Pooran got dismissed for 7 runs while Bracewell and Pollard went on to complete the innings.
Bracewll went on to smash fifty in the innings which included 3 fours and 3 sixes. By this victory, MI New York registered the first victory of the season and secured fourth position in the MLC 2025 points table.
Monank Patel was named as the Player of the Match. During Post match Presentation, he said, “Really happy the way we played. These two points were crucial. We have been watching games in the last two three days.”
“Going too hard in the powerplay hasn’t been easy. I wanted to spend some time. I wanted to get set and then play my shots. When there was extra pace, I tried to use it.”
“Everyone has a different template. I want to believe in my template. This is a special ground. Playing an international game would be wonderful,” concluded Patel.
They will play their next game against Washington Freedom on June 22 at Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium, Dallas.
