Kate Cross has withdrawn from the upcoming season of the WPL 2025 due to personal reasons. Kim Garth will be replacing England’s pacer Cross in the RCB squad for the upcoming season.

Kate was recently ruled out of the ODI series and One-off test against Australia in women’s Ashes 2025 as she failed to recover from a back injury.

With her participation in the women’s premier league remains uncertain, it is confirmed that she will not be playing and hence Kim Garth has been named as a replacement.

Kate joined Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2024 for INR 30 lakhs ahead of the WPL league and is yet to make her WPL debut. With the England pacer expected to make her WPL debut on the upcoming season, her withdraw has disappointed RCB fans.

Meanwhile Sophie Devine will not also feature in the TATA WPL 2025 due to personal reasons. Heather Graham has been named as the replacement for the New Zealander.

Graham has played 5 T20Is and has 8 wickets to her name from the same. Garth has represented Australia in 59 T20Is and has 764 T20I runs and 49 T20I wickets.

On the other hand, UP Warriorz have signed the West Indies all-rounder Alyssa Healy for the WPL 2025. The Australian captain Healy was ruled out of this season due to injury. Chinelle Henry has the experience of 62 T20Is, joined the UP Warriorz for INR 30 lakh.

The defending champions RCB will begin their WPL 2025 campaign against Gujarat Giants on February 14 at Vadodara International Cricket Stadium.
