    Gujarat Giants Beat UP Warriorz by 81 Runs at Lucknow

    Gujarat Giants secured an 81-run victory during a WPL 2025 clash against UP Warriorz on March 03 after an impressive performance with bat and ball.

    After scoring 186 runs in their innings, the Gujarat Giants went on to haunt Warriorz with the ball picking all 10 wickets in 18 overs. After the win Gujarat Giants had a massive jump in the WPL 2025 points table and secured second place with a better run rate.

    Batting first, Gujarat lost the wicket of Dayalan Hemalatha for 2 runs in the first over. However, Harleen Deol who joined Mooney put up a 101-run partnership for the second wicket.

    After Sophie Ecclestone dismissed Harleen for 45 runs, Ash Gardner came to bat and lost her wicket to Kranti Goud for 11 runs. Deandra Dottin’s 17 runs and Litchfield’s 8 runs contribution has helped the side to cross 150+ runs.

    With Bharti and Beth Mooney at the crease, Gujarat Giants put a 186 runs in the score board.

     Starting their innings, UP Warriorz lost four wickets in the powerplay scoring only 29 runs.

    They went on to lose the wickets of Kiran Navgire, Georgia Voll, Vrinda Dinesh and Deepti Sharma cheaply. Deandra Dottin picked the wickets of Kiran and Voll for a duck while Kashvee Gautam dismissed Vrinda Dinesh for 1 run.

    Meghna Singh continues the haunt by dismissing Deepti Sharma for 6 runs. With Shweta Sehrawat dismissal for 5 run, Uma Chetry and Chinelle Henry put up some score in the board.

    Henry scored 28 runs off 14 deliveries while Uma Chetry and Sophie Ecclestone scored 17 and 14 runs respectively to cross 100+ runs in the match. However, in the first ball of the 18th over, UP Warriorz lost all 10 wickets in the match.

    Kashvee Gautam and Tanuja Kanwar bagged three wickets each while Deandra Dottin picked two wickets. Meghna Singh and Ashleigh Gardner bagged a wicket each in the match.
