Gaby Lewis will be leading the Ireland squad for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which is set to be played in England. She will be leading the side in the global tournament for the first time after taking over from Laura Delany in 2024.
Ava Cannina, Christina Coulter Reilly, Alana Dalzell, Aimee Maguire and Lara McBride are named in the squad who are set to make their first T20 World Cup appearance.
Ireland finished second in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup global qualifier super six stage to book their place in this summer’s tournament.
With medium pacer Jane Maguire ruled out of the tournament due to a knee injury, off-spinner Aimee Maguire has been included in the squad.

Ahead of the tournament, they are set to host Pakistan and West Indies women on the tri-nation series. Gaby has been rested for the tri-nation series as she is on rehabilitation from an injury she sustained during her stint with Lancashire at the ECB Women’s One-Day Cup.
In her absence, vice-captain Orla Prendergast will be leading the Ireland squad with the first match to be played on May 28 in Clontarf.
Ireland are placed in Group 2 of the T20 World Cup 2026 alonside hosts England, New Zealand, Scotland, Sri Lanka and West Indies.
As per the Womens’s T20 World Cup 2026 schedule, Ireland Women will play their first game against Scotland Women in the 2nd match on June 13 at Old Trafford Cricket Ground,
