Los Angeles Knight Rides is scheduled to play against Texas Super Kings in the opening ceremony of the MLC at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. Sunil Narine led Knight Riders while former South African Captain Faf du Plessis will be captaining Texas super kings.
Texas Super Kings defeated LA Knight Riders by 69 runs in the MLC’s first game and moves to the top position in MLC 2023 points table. Texas started their innings where Devon Conway made his first fifty as he scored 55 runs in 37 balls including 7 fours and 1 six.
David Miller was the stand-out performer scoring 61 runs out of 42 deliveries which included 2 fours and 4 sixes.  Mitchell Santner contributed a quickfire 21 runs off 14 deliveries.  By the end of 20 overs, Texas Super Kings score 181 runs.
Chasing a target of 182 runs, LAKR were bowled out for 112 in 14 overs. Andre Russell showed some resistance with an impressive knock of 55 runs off 34 balls, which included 7 fours and 3 sixes.
Jaskaran Malhotra also played a handy knock, contributing 22 runs off 11 deliveries. Meanwhile, Mohammad Mohsin bagged a four-wicket haul for TSK. For LAKR, Lockie Ferguson and Ali Khan took two wickets each.
